Summerlin, Las Vegas

Nestled in the foothills and ridges on the western rim of the Las Vegas valley, adjacent to the internationally renowned Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, is a 22,500-acre master-planned community that offers open spaces, golf courses, retail and entertainment centers, glistening views of the Las Vegas Strip and the most diverse collection of housing options in Southern Nevada. Summerlin is approximately 14 miles from the Strip.

The community proudly boasts 150 neighborhood and community parks that are all uniquely activated with different amenities, such as swimming pools and tot lots to baseball fields and basketball courts. The parks and community centers provide a wide variety of social and recreational offerings including the long list of events — many of which are planned exclusively for residents. Nearly a dozen special events, seasonal celebrations, classes, camps, athletic programming and more are coordinated annually for those who call Summerlin home.

Green Valley, Henderson

Comparable to Summerlin, Green Valley is a master-planned community in the southeast suburb of Henderson. In terms of schools, amenities,
and location, Green Valley has similar perks to Summerlin; however, its biggest draw is that Henderson was named the second safest city in the nation.

The City of Henderson offers 64 parks covering more than 1,306 acres, including 105 athletic fields, 64 tennis courts, 13 swimming pools and 124 miles of trails within the city. In addition to open grass areas and playgrounds, features include walking courses, dog parks, skate parks, splash pads, and lighted sport areas.

The District at Green Valley Ranch has great shopping, restaurants and host movie nights. Green Valley Ranch Casino has an on-site multi- screen Regal Cinemas, family-friendly restaurants and kid-friendly activities like the arcade and pool backyard.

As the largest school district in Nevada, Clark County School District (CCSD) plays a pivotalrole in ensuring the future success, growth and advancement of the state. It serves all of Clark County, Nevada, including the cities of Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas, Boulder City, and Mesquite. CCSD offer schools from Pre-K through 12th grade.
