THE JOB:
As a Buffet Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role in crafting an unforgettable culinary experience. Not only will you ensure that every dish is prepared to perfection and presented with flair, but you will guide and coach the buffet kitchen staff to their best potential.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Conduct training for kitchen staff on job responsibilities
Ensure requisitions are processed properly and placed in designated area
Label and date all products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation
Create, read, measure, and execute recipes
Maintain an exceptional menu knowledge and attention to detail with plate presentation
Ensure food quality is superior and take action to correct any irregularities
Assist Executive Chef by controlling purchasing, receiving, purveyor lists and inventory of all kitchen items
Prepare and administer kitchen schedule, payroll, training, issuing discipline, and coaching
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
2+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience in a high volume restaurant, production kitchen, or fine dining restaurant
Describes themselves as detail-oriented
Can handle multiple tasks at one time
