As a Casino Cage Cashier, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our guests have smooth and enjoyable transactions while enjoying the thrill of the casino.
THE JOB:
The MGM Grand Casino Cashier role involves enhancing the service experience through accurate processing of customer and inter-departmental monetary transactions, delivering excellent guest service, and promoting the MGM Rewards program. All duties are to be performed in accordance with federal, state and local laws, regulations, and ordinances, as well as department and Company policies, practices, and procedures. By delivering exceptional customer service you will play a vital role in our mission to own the guest’s experience and create WOW memories that they will carry with them far beyond their stay with us.
THE STARTING RATE: $18.00 / Per Hour
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
- Execute a range of frontline transactions, including chip bank, poker, cage credit, and employee bank/window transactions
- Manage operations at the marker/IOU bank and High Limit cage, while also servicing patron Kiosk/TRU units and employee Recycler/JetSafe units
- Cash checks for patrons following established guidelines, and redeem chips/tokens, TITO (ticket in/ticket out), and Race and Sports tickets
- Conduct Marker and Front Money transactions on patron accounts
- Handle the redemption of all acceptable foreign currencies
- Ensure all recordable transactions involving company assets are secured and documented
- Accurately complete electronic multiple transaction logs and manual transaction logs as needed
- Provide patrons with general information upon request
- Issue or surrender safety deposit boxes
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- One (1) year of prior high-volume cash handling experience
- Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and all holidays
- Proficiency in fundamental mathematical skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and money handling
- Knowledge of 10-key adding machine, currency counter and cash advance machine
