THE JOB:
At MGM Resorts International, we’re not just creating spaces, we’re cultivating unforgettable experiences. As Horticulture Manager, you’ll lead the design, care, and sustainability of our living landscapes across multiple world-renowned resorts. From overseeing exterior horticulture operations to guiding a skilled team and implementing eco-conscious enhancements, your leadership will shape the vibrant environments that define our brand and delight every guest.


THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Lead, develop, and support horticulture teams, including gardeners, arborists, irrigation specialists, and pest control staff across several properties.

  • Ensure all horticulture operations meet the highest standards of safety, skill, and visual appeal.

  • Manage department budgets and approve orders for plant materials, tools, and supplies.

  • Analyze reports and operational data to identify improvement opportunities and optimize performance.

  • Implement and oversee sustainable landscaping practices aligned with MGM’s green initiatives.

  • Support design upgrades and landscape enhancements to ensure properties reflect our brand standards.

  • Oversee warehouse logistics and adjust policies or procedures as needed to meet operational goals.

  • Champion a culture of diversity, teamwork, and recognition; partner with HR on hiring, training, and employee development initiatives.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience

  • Experience in a luxury resort or similar large-scale setting

  • Strong knowledge of plant care, landscaping design, native species, and sustainable horticulture practices

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Must be able to work flexible hours, potentially including weekends and holidays

  • Proven experience leading and mentoring teams in a dynamic environment
