THE JOB:
As a Purchasing Agent, you will take the lead in managing the entire lifecycle of purchase orders within your categories, ensuring that every supply and service acquisition is seamless and efficient! You will collaborate with diverse teams in Purchasing, Program Management, and Strategic Sourcing, using your expertise to navigate the supplier landscape and meet our dynamic needs. THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Execute ordering for on-and off-program spend to ensure business needs are met with a high-level of customer responsiveness

  • Negotiate off-program saving opportunities per the off-program purchasing plan and ensure off-program purchases do not happen for on-program products; prescribe corrective action when appropriate

  • Demonstrate a proficient understanding of managed programs to maximize the percentage of spend on program and limit the amount of off-program spend

  • Meet established expectations of captured Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) such as PR to PO conversion time, PO percentage beyond due date, Open POs, PO to Invoice price and quantity variance resolution, manage invoices pending and item creation

  • Execute free-form purchase requisitions, conduct bid process; inclusive of supplier selection - to include certified diverse supplier, where applicable, negotiations and award of purchase order

  • Leverage data analytics to identify opportunities for reoccurring items to be created or added to a catalog

  • Ensure quality service and best-available price on goods and services in an ethical manner, without compromising quality

  • Support electronic filing system and methods of documentation of purchasing activity to enable and satisfy an audit/inspection or industry regulating standards

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent

  • 1+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience

Pay Rate:

The rate for this role is:

$20.00

Should overtime be worked, employees are paid overtime pay in accordance with state requirements.
