THE JOB:
Step into the role of Butcher, where your craftsmanship and attention to detail play a key part in delivering exceptional quality. In this position, you will partner closely with the Head Butcher to support the daily operations of the Butcher Shop, ensuring all products meet the highest standards of freshness, precision, and presentation.
With a strong commitment to safety, consistency, and excellence, you will contribute to an environment that upholds MGM Resorts’ standards and enhances the overall culinary experience.
THE STARTING RATE: $23.7183 Hourly
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
De-bones, trims and grinds meats.
Prepares all specified items.
Cuts and portions all poultry, fish, and meats.
Assists Head Butcher with all preparation of all meat, fish and fowl.
Keeps areas and equipment clean, including all walk-ins and reach-ins within the Butcher shop.
Maintains safety and health department standards
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred
6+ months of prior relevant experience in a similar role preferred
Basic knowledge of food handling, safety, and preparation techniques
Flexible and available to work varied shifts, including weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed
