THE JOB:
As a Bartender at Orla at Mandalay Bay, you will play a key role in creating an elevated and memorable guest experience through exceptional beverage knowledge, personalized service, and genuine hospitality. Inspired by the flavors and culture of the Mediterranean, Orla offers a vibrant and sophisticated dining experience where expertly crafted cocktails and guest engagement are at the heart of every visit. By sharing your passion for food and beverage, anticipating guest needs, and delivering attentive service, you will help create unforgettable moments that keep guests coming back.
THE STARTING RATE: $17.9497/Hour
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Make and serve alcoholic and non‐alcoholic drinks, proportioning ingredients according to standardized recipes and provide food service as needed.
Clean equipment, tools, and supplies and ensure equipment is in good working order; including, cleanliness, sanitation and appearance of the bar.
Knowledgeable of menu items, liquor brands, beers and non‐alcoholic selections available.
Ring poured or served beverages, collect payment, and follow all cash handling and variance procedures, including preparing daily reports and submitting appropriate paperwork.
Provide Apprentice Bartender and Bar Porter with training and mentoring on overall function of the bar, guest service and bartending.
Maintain bar inventory according to set pars and internal controls and request product to maintain stock in bar.
Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise refer the matter to management, notify supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft.
Perform other job‐related duties as requested.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
21+ years of age
Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays. Required
High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred
Two (2) years of experience in a bar or similar environment. Preferred
