THE JOB:
As an on-call Barista at Starbucks inside Mandalay Place, you will create exceptional guest experiences through friendly customer service and quality beverages in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. This on-call role is perfect for someone who enjoys connecting with guests, multitasking, and creating memorable experiences as part of a dynamic team.
THE STARTING RATE: $14.78 + tips
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Knowledgeable of selling techniques and service delivery for both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and items on the menu
Take and place order, serve and garnish food and drinks efficiently and accurately in work area as applicable
Collect money, while following all proper cash handling and comp procedures
Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and the appearance of the front and back of house area, clear tables and counters; sweep and maintain the cleanliness of the dining area without interfering with the comfort of guests
Pack and complete order as per guests’ preference with necessary condiments
Perform opening and closing duties based upon shift assignment
Unload warehouse orders and stock the orders in designated storage maintaining organization, stock and replenish supplies and machines as needed Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise, refer the matter to management, notify supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
High School Diploma or GED
2+ Years of prior relevant experience as a food handler in a similar environment preferred
Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
