THE JOB:
As an Executive Meetings Sales Manager, you’ll be at the center of bringing group events to life. Negotiating and contracting room rates and meeting space for small groups ranging from 10 to 100+ rooms on peak nights. In this role, you’ll build and maintain strong client relationships, identify future business opportunities within your market, and represent the property at networking events to help grow group sales. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys building connections and creating memorable guest experiences.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Evaluate and manage inquiries through pre-qualifications, rate negotiations, issue proposals and contracts, process bookings, and follow up appropriately with established and prospective clients all in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures
Develop and grow new and existing accounts to meet and exceed revenue goals by prospecting, making sales calls, entertaining and conducting site inspections; all through persuasive verbal and written communication
Identify and develop opportunities to maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel
Represent company at trade shows, client & industry events and maintain consistency within the corporate standard
Provide input and execute strategic plan for assigned geographic territory consistent with department goals
Create and maintain a work environment which promotes teamwork, performance, feedback, recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
1+ years of prior relevant experience in one or more of the following areas: hospitality or other customer services or sales
Ability to achieve established monthly individual, room night and revenue goals within established deadlines
Knowledgeable of Front Desk and/or Convention Reservations procedures preferred
Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, with all stakeholders
Must be 21 years of age or older
