THE JOB:
As a On-call Barista at Starbucks at MGM Grand, you create a welcoming guest experience by preparing, serving, and garnishing quality food and beverages, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and delivering friendly, personalized service that leaves a lasting impression.
THE STARTING RATE: $15.8977 hourly
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Take and place orders, and serve and garnish food and drinks efficiently and accurately in the work area, as applicable
Collect money while following all proper cash handling and comp procedures
Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of the front and back of house; clear tables and counters; sweep and maintain the cleanliness of the dining area without interfering with the comfort of guests
Pack and complete orders as per guests' preferences with any necessary condiments
Properly label and date products per safety and sanitation procedures
Perform opening and closing duties based upon shift assignment
Unload warehouse orders and stock them to designated storage, maintaining organization; stock and replenish products as needed in workstations, counters, and tables
Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise, refer the matter to management and notify a supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Must be 18 years of age or older
High School Diploma or GED required
Valid Food Handler Safety Training Card required (or ability to obtain upon hire)
1+ year of food handling experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment preferred
Barista experience preferred
