THE JOB:
As the Executive Room Chef of Salt & Ivy at Beau Rivage, you will lead the culinary team in delivering elevated dining experiences through exceptional food quality, strong leadership, and operational excellence. You will oversee daily kitchen operations, inspire and develop your team, and ensure every dish reflects the high standards and guest-focused service Salt & Ivy is known for.
THE SCHEDULE:
- Full Time | 50 hours
- 9:00am - 7:00pm
- Off: Monday & Tuesday
- Must be open and flexible to work outside of the primary schedule, including varied shifts, weekends and holidays based on the business needs
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
- Lead and oversee daily kitchen operations, including food quality, execution, labor management, scheduling, inventory control, and service standards to support both operational success and guest satisfaction.
- Drive consistency and excellence in food preparation, presentation, cleanliness, and kitchen organization while maintaining the highest health and sanitation standards.
- Partner with culinary leadership and front-of-house teams to ensure seamless communication, efficient service execution, and an elevated dining experience for every guest.
- Train, mentor, and develop kitchen team members while fostering a positive, high-performing, and collaborative work environment.
- Assist with menu execution, recipe adherence, product quality, and operational initiatives that support both short-term and long-term success.
- Monitor kitchen performance, respond to guest feedback, and proactively resolve operational opportunities with professionalism and urgency.
- Maintain strong knowledge of menu offerings, ingredients, culinary techniques, and kitchen equipment to support daily operations and team development.
- Support compliance with all company policies, food safety standards, and operational procedures while ensuring completion of required training programs.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Brings two or more years of relevant culinary leadership experience and holds a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Demonstrates proven leadership in fine dining steakhouse environments, with a commitment to culinary excellence and elevated guest experiences
- Possesses a strong, confident presence and excels in open kitchen concepts where guest engagement and visual execution are key
