THE JOB:
As a Sushi Cook, you will play an essential role in creating exceptional dining experiences by crafting high-quality sushi and authentic Japanese cuisine with precision, creativity, and attention to detail. More than preparing dishes, you will help bring unforgettable moments to life through your passion for hospitality and commitment to excellence.

THE STARTING RATE: $27.0038/hr
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Apply advance knife skills required for making sushi and other Japanese dishes
Maintain menu knowledge and attention to detail of plate presentation
Ensure food quality is superior and correct any irregularities
Conduct inventory on a regular basis of specified food items and proper par levels
Ensure kitchen equipment is properly maintained and functioning as well as cleanliness and sanitation of assigned work areas
Follow recipes according to Chef specifications
Notify Room Chef or Sous Chef of challenges that arise and how they have been corrected
Assist with pantry and preparation areas
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Minimum 1 year of sushi preparation experience in a professional restaurant environment required.
Experience preparing a variety of sushi, sashimi, rolls, and other Japanese-inspired dishes with a strong focus on quality, consistency, and presentation.
Previous experience working in a high-volume kitchen environment preferred.
Pastry or dessert preparation experience is a plus and would be considered an added benefit.
Must be flexible and available to work a part-time, on-call schedule, including varied shifts, weekends, holidays, evenings, and peak business periods as needed based on operational demands
