THE JOB:
Bring the energy, lead the team, and keep the excitement alive on the casino floor as an Assistant Shift Manager – Slots at MGM National Harbor. In this role, you’re at the heart of the action—guiding your team, elevating the guest experience, and ensuring every shift runs smoothly. THE DAY-TO-DAY:
- Lead, motivate, and engage Slot Operations team members throughout your shift
- Foster a positive, high-performing work environment that supports employee growth and retention
- Deliver exceptional guest service aligned with MGM’s S.H.O.W. service standards
- Oversee daily slot floor operations, ensuring team members are executing duties effectively
- Communicate consistently with staff—sharing updates, coaching performance, and addressing feedback
- Train, mentor, and develop employees to meet departmental goals and advance their careers
- Resolve guest and employee concerns professionally and efficiently
- Delegate responsibilities and manage workloads to ensure seamless operations
- Ensure compliance with company policies, gaming regulations, and operational procedures
- Monitor and account for company assets, equipment, and sensitive keys during each shift
- Assist with performance management, including documentation, coaching, and disciplinary actions
- Support Shift Manager with projects, reporting, and operational initiatives
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- At least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2+ years of experience in a customer service or hospitality environment
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Pay Range:
The pay range for this role is:
$69,800.00 - $93,000.00
This range represents a good faith estimate of the salary range that MGM reasonably expects to pay for the position upon hire. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.
This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s incentive plan.
Employees in this position are eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) plans, and time off plans. Specific program offerings vary by eligibility factors such as geographic location, employment status, and union membership.
