THE JOB:

As an Assistant Executive Steward at Vdara, you will be responsible for assigned operational functions within the department. You will also set the stage for the guest experience with your welcoming smile and exceptional service. By understanding each guest’s unique stories and needs, you will own their experience and create WOW memories they will carry with them far beyond their stay with us.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Supervise assigned operational functions within the department, consistent with the strategic plan, fiscal budget, and the company’s short-term and long-term profitability objectives.

  • Supervise the delivery and measurement of guest service, ensuring alignment with the company’s core service standards and brand attributes.

  • Supervise assigned staff, including hiring recommendations that support the company’s commitment to diversity, training, coaching, performance feedback, disciplinary recommendations and administration, and scheduling.

  • Provide ideas and suggestions for new products, services, technology, and process improvements.

  • Conduct routine inspections of all equipment and kitchen areas to ensure cleanliness and sanitary procedures are consistently maintained.

  • Requisition new and replacement equipment as needed.

  • Approve requisitions for cleaning supplies and equipment, and monitor usage to ensure costs are minimized without compromising quality or operational standards.

  • Maintain inventory and recordkeeping for all dinnerware, flatware, and glassware, and order china, glassware, and silverware as needed.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • 2+ years of prior relevant experience in stewarding.

  • Strong knowledge of kitchen stewarding operations, including sanitation standards, equipment maintenance, inventory control, and supply management preferred.
