THE JOB:

The Senior Hotel Operations Manager provides strategic direction and leadership for the property’s Front Desk team, ensuring alignment with the MGM brand. This role is responsible for driving the execution of functional strategies, managing labor, and leading the management team to achieve key operational and financial goals. The Senior Manager champions an exceptional guest experience and ensures all operations consistently meet MGM Resorts' premier service and compliance standards.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Works closely with VP and Director of Hotel Ops to implement strategic Initiatives provided by Hotel Strategy CoE for hotel operations.

  • Leads the implementation of policies, operating procedures, training programs, manuals, directives, work schedules, rules and regulations for all front desk operations team.

  • Responsible for employee engagement of the front desk operations team, utilizing the tools provided and through coaching, training, rewards and development.

  • Provides leadership and direction to maintain and improve the guest experience within front desk operations, consistent with the company’s service standards.

  • Interviews, selects, trains, supervises, counsels and coaches hotel operations staff for the efficient operation of the department.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age required

  • 2+ Years of prior relevant experience in the direction and management of employees in a similar hotel environment which includes prior experience in hotel management required

  • Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays required

  • Technical knowledge and experience with Opera required

  • Previous experience managing employees under a collective bargaining agreement preferred

  • Technical knowledge and experience with HotSOS or other service optimization system preferred

  • Previous experience working in a similar resort setting preferred

  • Ability to communicate in Spanish and or Asian Languages preferred
