THE JOB:
As an on-call Kitchen Worker at Signature, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of dishes, glassware, flatware, and the dishwashing area. You will support kitchen operations by ensuring all items are properly cleaned, sanitized, and available for service, helping to maintain a safe, efficient, and organized work environment.
THE STARTING RATE: $23.8591 hourly
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Break down, load, unload, catch, and properly sort dishes, glassware, and flatware as they are brought to the dish area.
Wash, sort, and store pots in their proper locations on the shelves, placing large items on the bottom shelf.
Load dishwashing solution into the automatic dispenser and regulate the output of detergent and chemicals to the dishwashing machine by monitoring and adjusting controls.
Unload clean dishes from racks after they have been processed through the dish machine, inspect them for cleanliness, and carefully stack them on designated carts and shelves.
Polish silver, copper, and brass in all areas as needed.
Regularly transport equipment such as hot and cold boxes, speed racks, Queen Mary carts, and push carts through hallways for delivery to other outlets and facilities.
Sweep and mop floors and wash floor mats.
Wash baseboards, floor drains, hand sinks, tables, and cutting boards.
Separate and remove trash and garbage, place them in designated containers, and steam clean and hose out garbage cans.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
6+ months of prior relevant kitchen experience preferred.
Working knowledge of basic kitchen equipment.
Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holiday.
