THE JOB:

The Horticulture Lead is responsible for overseeing daily horticultural operations to ensure that both indoor and outdoor landscapes are well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing. This role includes directing crew assignments, conducting regular site inspections, coordinating purchasing and inventory, and providing guidance to laborers and gardeners on best practices and industry standards.

THE STARTING RATE:

$23.59 Hourly

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Responsible for always maintaining the MGMRI standards of service to guests and coworkers

  • Ensures the principal duties and responsibilities of horticulture classifications are properly performed.

  • Drive and operate company vehicles, and/or Horticulture related equipment to travel between properties and transport materials and equipment.

  • Direct daily assignments while working with the crew on tasks, events or projects, or any horticulture related duties; troubleshoot and shift priorities as needed.

  • Communicate, plan and follow up on assignments with managers and stakeholders.

  • Perform regular site inspections in areas of responsibility to prioritize workload, including shift coverage and design work as needed.

  • Assist with purchasing duties and maintain inventory while coordinating with management for budgetary and tracking purposes.

  • Assist with teaching laborers and gardeners on proper Horticulture practices and industry standards.

  • Clean and maintain gardening tools, equipment, and supply areas to ensure good working conditions.

  • Follow MGMRI policies and procedures for mobile devices to include work order creation, response, and completion.

  • Inspect the work area to identify and correct any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required

  • 2+ years of prior relevant experience required
