THE JOB:
The Production Supervisor will be responsible for property operations, supervision of the stagehand crew, and ensure the equipment is properly maintained. The candidate will also set the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service. By understanding their unique stories and needs, the Supervisor Production will own their experience to create WOW memories they will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Ensure all equipment is properly maintained through scheduled preventative maintenance
Responsible for the property operation and on stage safety of all lighting as well as all consumable special effect materials
Effective interaction with individual crews directly responsible for all equipment and operation standards
Implement and maintain adequate inventory levels for all consumable items and equipment, parts, supplies, and for submitting purchase request for technical needs to Production Manager
Maintain worker and site safety at all times
Ensure stagehand crew is properly staffed at all times
Submit request for purchasing lighting /electrics needs to Production Manager
Submit budget as it pertains to equipment, supplies and personnel for the show
Schedule stagehand crew for work calls
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Must be 18 years of age or older.
High School Diploma or GED required.
4+ years of relevant experience in lighting/electric operations within a 600-seat or larger theatre required.
10+ years of relevant experience training, leading, or supervising lighting/electric operations within a 600-seat or larger theatre preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre, Drama, the Arts, or a related field preferred.
Experience in audio, broadcasting, entertainment production, live events, or related technical environments strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of theatrical lighting systems, electrical operations, production technologies, and industry best practices.
Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to train, mentor, and support technical teams.
Passion for technology and a proven ability to learn, troubleshoot, and adapt to evolving production systems and equipment.
