THE JOB:

The Horticulture Manager is responsible for leading, directing, and managing the daily operations of the Horticulture Department. This critical leadership role oversees and coordinates comprehensive interior and exterior horticultural maintenance, and warehouse operations across the entire property. The Manager ensures that all plant landscapes consistently meet the premier visual, safety, and aesthetic standards expected of a luxury resort environment.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Oversee daily operations, maintenance, and safety compliance for all interior, exterior, and warehouse horticulture teams.

  • Coordinate and execute high-standard design installations and upgrades across all property and plant landscapes.

  • Conduct daily site inspections of plant and warehouse areas to audit standards and resolve operational or performance gaps.

  • Maintain and optimize comprehensive interior plant programs to ensure health and maximum visual appeal.

  • Review and approve all department orders for plant materials, tools, and supplies within budget.

  • Champion hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management initiatives to foster a high-performing team.

  • Ensure adherence to company policies, legal requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and safety regulations.

  • Support property events and operations by working a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience in interior landscape and managing/leading a team

  • Strong knowledge of plant care, landscaping design, native species, and sustainable horticulture practices

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Must be able to work flexible hours, potentially including weekends and holidays
