THE JOB:
As an Assistant Executive Steward at Mandalay Bay, you will be responsible for assigned operational functions within the department. You will also set the stage for the guest experience with your welcoming smile and exceptional service. By understanding each guest's unique story and needs, you will take ownership of their experience and create WOW memories that they will carry with them long after their stay at Mandalay Bay.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Supervise assigned operational functions within the department consistent with the strategic plan, fiscal budget, and the company's short-term and long-term profitability objectives.
Supervise the delivery and measurement of guest service consistent with the company's core service standards and brand attributes.
Supervise assigned staff to include hiring recommendations that encompass the company's diversity commitment, training, coaching, performance feedback, recommending and administering discipline, and scheduling.
Provide ideas and suggestions for new products, services, technology, and processes.
Make routine inspections of all equipment and kitchen areas to ensure that cleanliness and sanitary procedures are maintained.
Requisition new and replacement equipment as needed.
Approve requisitions related to all cleaning supplies and equipment and monitor supply requisitions to ensure costs are kept to a minimum without losing quality in the usage of materials.
Maintain inventory and recordkeeping for all dinnerware, flatware, and glassware; order china, glassware, and silverware.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Must be 21 years of age or older.
2+ years of prior relevant stewarding experience.
Must be flexible and available to work Morning, Swing, or Graveyard shifts as business needs require.
Experience managing employees covered under a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
