THE JOB:

The primary purpose of the Sr. Manager, Risk and Insurance, is to serve as the lead steward of risk management for our premier entertainment properties. The Sr. Manager, Risk and Insurance, is dedicated to protecting the enterprise by mitigating liability, optimizing insurance coverage, and enforcing SOPs aimed at claim prevention, loss control, and early resolution. Through strategic planning, hands-on event support, and robust collaboration with internal and external partners, this role ensures the continued success and resilience of our operations. This position will also be responsible for procuring insurance for the Arenas and other lines of business and will manage the company's loss control efforts in collaboration with internal stakeholders, our Brokers, and insurance carriers.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Strategic Risk & Event Management

    Lead on-site operational risk management and triage for arena activations and major events; enforce SOPs to drive early claim mitigation and risk resolution.

  • Claims & Litigation Oversight

    Partner with internal Claims/WC, carriers, and outside counsel across the litigation lifecycle; serve as key property liaison for investigations, discovery, witness duties, and financial reporting.

  • Insurance & Stakeholder Relations

    Direct insurance renewals and carrier negotiations to secure optimal coverage; collaborate with cross-functional leadership to embed risk best practices and enforce indemnification standards for new venues and events.

  • Risk Management Support

    Engage with department leaders to track property initiatives, verify contractual insurance/indemnification terms for new ventures, and manage certificates of insurance (COIs).

  • Loss Control & Prevention

    Drive building resiliency and loss control with Safety, Facilities, and insurer risk engineers; conduct daily incident reviews and lead rapid on-site investigations to mitigate claims.

  • Property & Project Support

    Provide operational support to sister properties and execute special projects as directed by Risk Management leadership.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • High School Diploma or GED- Required

  • 2+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience in Risk Management, Insurance, Claims and/or Safety- Required

  • Willingness to participate in occasional domestic travel- Required

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, Access and Power Point

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to convey information effectively high‐level judgment and decision‐making abilities

  • Self‐motivated and excellent organizational and time management skills
