THE JOB:
The primary responsibility of the Convention Services and Catering Coordinator is to provide administrative and clerical support to the department.
THE STARTING RATE: $19.50
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
- Provide excellent service consistent with the property's core service standards and brand
- Partner with managers to have a thorough understanding of each program assigned.
- Answer and direct all incoming telephone calls with a smile; assist in responding to customer correspondence and requests
- Prepare guest reservations and guest amenities
- Input program information into Amadeus/Delphi including notes, events, updates, etc.
- Maintain files and access to highly sensitive and confidential information
- Assist in the handling of clients of the assigned Director and/or Manager as needed in his/her absence
- Manage catering inquiries, including phone and email communication with clients
- Prepare and distribute the Daily Event Sheet from the BEOs to all departments
- Complete and distribute reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
- Accurately prepare the BEOs to meet specifications given by clients and/or Managers and process all changes in a timely manner
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- 1+ years of prior relevant experience in a related position, or equivalent education and experience
- Ability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Must be 18 years of age or older
